my nutcracker...
I couldn't backtrack to December without our latest Nutcracker experience. Sailor graduated from an Angel in the performance to being a Soldier. But in typical Sailor fashion she asked if since she was an expert (her words) at being an Angel, perhaps she could do both. Her teacher agreed and we added an extra two rehearsals a week. The agreement to allow her to do both parts was not well thought out by me. Double rehearsals and double performances. She loved it though. She did both parts in each show which meant quick costume and hair changes, but she handled the pressure like a pro.
studio dress rehearsals...
my soldier handling her gun like a tea partier..
who taught her that?
An actual photo of her during a real performance..
My little soldier being photobombed by her brother..
soldier cheeks...the bane of my existence for two weeks
3rd year angel...
her sweet cousins came to see her perform..
and brought her flowers!
She loves performing for people. Have I mentioned?

Congrats Sailor. You make a great soldier as well as an angel. One of these years we will come and see the production instead of just a rehearsal.
We LOVED to watch Sailor perform. Thanks for inviting us. And thanks for the cute post.
