House rules..

Dear Hobart,

Perhaps you are too young to realize this, but we have some very specific rules in our home that I need to remind you about...

1) Diaper changes are mandatory.

This is not up for argument.

Stop trying to get out of them.

2) When you have decided that you are finished with your meal, simply stop eating.

There is no need to trow the entire contents of your highchair tray onto the floor.

3) Screaming is only allowed if you are in danger or hurt.

Not getting your way does not count as either of these things.

4) Couches and chairs are for sitting.

Not for climbing onto.

I don't want to catch you standing on the back of my couch again.

5) Try and keep the fit throwing until after we are finished up at the restaurant rather than right when our food arrives.

Your family and other diners will appreciate it.

I do however want to commend you for the following things you are doing very well:

You are doing a great job at

throwing balls,

sleeping,

drinking through straws,

dancing whenever music comes on,

playing drums with chopsticks,

going on walks,

playing patty-cake,

making truck noises,

and giving kisses
