May your days be merry and bright...

Our holiday celebration started with our last Nutcracker of the season on Christmas Eve! It was fun to be a part of the final performance.

Shhh...I took a picture of her dancing on stage. A big no no.

It isn't the holiday season without new Christmas jammies to wear on Christmas eve.

We couldn't let the holiday pass without reading this book. Because you cannot celebrate the birth of Christ without the Herdman's.

Opening gifts on Christmas morning. Hobie loved what Santa gave him and Sailor's favorite Santa gift...an eiffel tower ornament.
Of course.

We left shortly after present time for some ski and family time in Utah, but made a short detour in Las Vegas overnight.

We heard that one of the best buffets in Vegas was at The Paris Hotel (more on that later for obvious reasons..). It was pricey, but it was Christmas and we are worth it. Unfortunately, my time is worth way more than my money, because the line to get into the buffet was at least two and a half hours long. We attempted PF Changs next door to the hotel, but again...two hours. So instead we ate here:

Well, two of us ate there. Mommy doesn't eat meat and Hobie doesn't have teeth. Vanz loves Pink's in LA so I thought for Christmas I would make the ultimate sacrifice and forgo a delicious meal. And did I mention that 2 hot dogs and onion rings cost about $25.

Thanks for sharing some of your Christmas holiday through pictures. I loved Sailor's make-up for the Nutcracker. She wears it so well. I'm glad you are continuing the tradition of reading "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". It is such a great book for families. I must comment on Hobie's hair Christmas morning, it does have a mind of it's own. Now, about Pinks Restaurant, at least it looks like you had the place all to yourself and the onion rings look good.
