6 Months...
It is hard to imagine that it was half a year ago that our little Hobart joined our family. It seems like he has been a part of us forever. I have never been one to shrug off the fact that I was quite content with one child. I never felt the need or desire to have a large family. Vanz supported this decision as well and on many occasions we discussed that if Sailor was to be our only child that we were happy with that choice. Until one day about 2 years ago, Vanz came to me and said, "I feel like we are missing someone from our family." I tried to ignore him and talk him out of feeling that way, but he was persistent. How grateful I am that he was. I cannot image our life with out our little boy. He brings such joy to our family and I love seeing how much he and Sailor love each other. We know that our family is complete now that he is here.
Here are Hobie's latest stats:
weighs in at 16 lbs- this is 2 lbs lighter than his sister at the same age..
babbling constantly..
adores playing "peek a boo" which he will instigate by pulling his blanket over his head to encourage you to play along with him..
has learned the art of squealing (really loud)..
back on the veggies (& fruit too!)..
when on his tummy he tries so hard to get up on his knees (he has a few times..I don't encourage it. I am not ready for mobility)..
eats two meals of solid food a day..
Is still an excellent sleeper (with the exception of a couple nights of teething)..
Is fascinated by faces. He loves to lay next to you and explore your face with his tiny hands..
loves to play in his exersaucer..
We can't wait to see what the next 6 months has in store!
