4th of July..

Since August is almost upon us, I thought I should probably finally post my pictures from July 4th.  Obviously, we were in Virginia.  Sailor was so excited to dress up, decorate and participate in a bike parade in my parents neighborhood.

Here she is ready to show her American pride.

Sailor with Granny and Molly heading to the parade.  That was the last smile we would see for a while.

This was the outcome of the parade.

Mommy sent Sailor on the wrong bike parade and off to ride with the big kids (and by big kids...mostly adults!) on the route that included all the hills.  Mommy went sprinting after her but she was determined to ride and didn't catch up with her until the very end.  I'm not going to lie...I thought for sure she would give up as soon as she hit the first incline, but my little girl persevered!  Her wheel broke almost at the very end of the route and that is where the meltdown occurred.

She was mad she had to ride her bike,
mad that her sparkles were falling off,
mad that she had to wear a bike helmet which covered her sparkles,
mad that her swimming teacher wasn't there to see her,
mad that someone else had the audacity to also wear sparkles,
and mad that she didn't have a Popsicle.

Luckily she cheered up later in the day so that I could get a holiday picture of her and her brother.

Well, they mostly cheered up.

I felt like I was reading my life story. Sounds like daily life with Ava.

The two of them are darling. Tell Sailor that me and Ava LOVE her sparkles and tell Hobie that I was to kiss those cheeks until they hurt.

Miss you guys.
