Our new normal...

This past month has been a busy one around the Steimle household.  Obviously we had Hobie, but my Mom was here for what originally was supposed to be two weeks.  The day before she was scheduled to fly home my Grandpa unexpectedly passed away and she ended up staying an additional week.  Because of the funeral my sister Emily was able to come and visit from DC for  a few days along with Jonathan and Jillian from up north. It was nice to introduce all of them to our little Hobie.  Here are a few funeral pictures from the funeral..

The whole gang! (almost...minus my Dad and Mathew who were both in VA)

Sailor and cousin Kelia who coincidentally had on the same dress!

Hobie is fitting into our family quite well.  Here are some recent pictures of our little one.  I love those cheeks so much!

Here he is with his big sister.  The more alert and aware of her he becomes the more she likes him.  She has a habit of loving to pat his head and poke him in the cheeks.  Can you blame her?

Here is Daddy with his doppelganger.

He has Vanz's eyes and possibly nose (hard to tell since Vanz broke his) but if his baby pictures are any indication, they are spitting images of one another.  The cheeks and chin though are not Vanz's.  He has a nice plump, round face just like his sister did.  I get the credit for providing those.

I LOVE this picture!  I laugh every time I look at it.  Poor Hobie just has a look on his face like he is terrified of  his crazy sister.

I think it's called "squeezably delicious". He has changed so much in just one week. He does look just like his Dad, and since Vanz is such a handsome guy, that's a good thing.
