9 MONTHS!
When I think of the women pioneer who crossed the plains while heavy with child, it occurs to me that I could NEVER have made it as a pioneer. I can barely make it to my car in the driveway without a string of complaints about my current state of being. You see, I am officially 9 months pregnant. I will even post a picture to prove it.
Sorry there is no head shot of me longingly gazing at my belly in wonder. There is no wonder. There is definitely a baby in there. And the only longing I am doing is longing to no longer be pregnant. I know there are people who relish in this time and love the miracle of it all. I personally don't want a picture to remind me of how big I was. I will remember it every time I look at the child I will birth and stare at my no longer flat tummy.
Vanz was warned a few nights ago that my vocabulary will be a constant string of "whoa is me" type phrases for the next few weeks. (Yes, only a few weeks to go!) I told him I would try and keep the complaints to a minimum. I apologize that I can only wear a few things in my closet and that I am crabby because I cannot bend over to pick up the things that are constantly dropping in my clumsy presence.
I am not going to lie. I will not miss being pregnant for one second. And I certainly will not be doing it again.
I will however love my baby more than words and probably enjoy his infant state more that Sailor's because I will remember how fast it goes. I will spend more time in the rocking chair. I will enjoy reading books to both my babies each night. I will love watching my little girl interact with "her" baby brother and sing him lullabies (she is already practicing her repertoire). I will not stress over piles of laundry and will take more walks with the stroller. I will give far too many kisses and take way too many pictures. Because I may not make a very good pregnant woman, but I strive to be a really great Mother (and you don't even need to be pregnant to make a really great one of those!)

Well said! You are a GREAT Mom and will continue to be for your little guy. Remember . . .
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow for babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow. . .so quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep - I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep. (Do you remember that?)I had an embroidered picture that I made with this quote. It took me over 5 years to finish it 'cause I had babies to hold and tell stories to. Oh how I miss those days!
your belly is so cute:) I know you don't think so, but I do!! You are a fabulous mom and I can't wait to meet your little guy...he will be so adorable!
