SUPER STUDENT..

It is a little known fact that while I was in grade K through 6, I always was the first person in my class to receive the "Student of the Month" award. Every October at the years first assembly, without fail they would call my name. The principal told my Mom that I set some sort of record. 

Here is a picture of me at one of the awards assemblies at my elementary school in Anaheim CA circa 1980. 

My nerdiness aside, you can image my delight when I got a note in the mail saying that Sailor would be receiving an award at the school years first assembly for academic excellence! 

Sailor didn't know she was getting the award so when they called her name she was beaming with pride.

She was so proud and excited that she got to shake the principals hand! She was the only girl in her class to receive an award.
