THE PORTRAIT!!!!

The day has finally arrived. If you have been  following the tale of our "Renaissance Portrait" you know what I am referring to.  

We received the call on Saturday that our portrait was completed.  We happened to be in the Newport Beach area and so we went to pick it up immediately. You can imagine our anticipation. I ran inside to pick it up while Vanz & Sailor waited in the car.  

They led me to another room which was dark except for Sailor's lit portrait on an easel. When I saw it I started to tear up. It was that gorgeous. It literally took my breath away. Needless to say, we love the portrait. It was worth every penny. It even came with it's own portrait light because as they mentioned many times, it is a piece of art.  Right down to Sailor's name in pure gold.

We now only have two problems..

a) where on earth do we hang this??

and

b) at the time we purchased this Sailor was an only child. In six months that will no longer be the case. As not to favor one child over the other, we will undoubtedly be purchasing another to complete our set. We will wait until the sibling is 4. We will need that long to save up for it.

Sailor's reaction to the portrait:

SAILOR: "It looks like you wouldn't let me go outside to play"

ME: "Why? Because you were dressed so fancy?"

SAILOR: "No. Because I look so mad"
