PORTRAIT UPDATE
We went to look at the proofs of our "renaissance" portrait (mentioned in this post) this evening. I knew they were pricey, but figured we had a $1000 credit so that should pretty much cover it. I realized I was screwed when the price list she handed Vanz & I had the amount of $40,000 on it. Next cheapest...$20,000. I had wanted to get some 5x7's for grandparents, but those were $500 each. Sorry guys. We will take a picture of our $1300 portrait for you. Don't worry though, the $1300 included a gold name plate...in case we walk by the photograph and forget who she is. (By the way, it was gorgeous...I would show you it, but we don't actually get the picture for 4 months. Yep, I said 4 months).
To tide your obvious anticipation over...here is another picture of her in the dressing room that day.

I told this story to Seth's family at dinner last night. We were all imagining the shock. Now I really can't wait to see this picture. You should have an unveiling party!
I wish I had a picture of Vanz's face when we saw the price list. I can just bring it to church...all we could afford was the 11x14 size so it will be pretty portable! Remind me in 4 months!
When I see that picture, this is what I think of....
Margot: You probably don't even known my middle name.
Royal: That's a trick question. You don't have one.
Margot: Helen.
Royal: Darn.
