MAMMOTH

We spent one afternoon around Mammoth. A few of the lifts were still open, but we did not ski since most of our gear is in Utah.

As we were touring we found that some of the mountain roads were still closed due to the snow.  We found one gate that was half open and drove on in.  The snowbank was about 7 feet tall.  We later learned that we were not supposed to be on that road and it had been locked behind us.  Luckily for us, as we were driving down the person who had a key was also driving out and was able to let us out.  If he wasn't there we still may be on that road!
