DISNEYLAND CHRISTMAS!

We went with Vanz's parents to D-land to celebrate Dyan's birthday. Vanz grew up with a tradition of always going there with his family for the holidays and he still insists that we do it every year. I think it's a great tradition and I love the holidays at Disneyland. It is still very hard for me to go there without having anxiety filled memories about working there for almost 10 years, but I am getting better and it helps to have Sailor who loves Disneyland more than anything.

She was so excited to go and insisted that the first ride we went on be the Matterhorn. She must take after her Daddy and loves the thrill and exciting rides. Of course, we paid a visit to our Princesses and while Vanz and his Dad waited in line to do one-on-one meet and greets with them, Dyan and I took Sailor to the Princess show. Sailor who has seen it a million times still loves it and is convinced that everyone has come to see her. She saw her favorite princess Aurora (because she is pink) and held her hand while they did the maypole dance. After the show we finished waiting in line to see the other princesses, not knowing which ones we would see and Aurora happened to be the first princess!! She said excitedly to Sailor, "I was hoping you would come!" She remembered her. Somehow people always are drawn to Sailor. Ever since she was an infant we would constantly have strangers stop us to admire her. Not necessarily her beauty (although she was and is gorgeous), but she has this infectious personality. She spent time with each princess and they made her feel so special. Aurora and Sailor bonded over dancing, pink Christmas trees and Aurora and Sailor promised to be best friends with a special pinky swear. Sailor was in heaven! I have to hand it to Disney..they sure know how to make my little Sailor feel like she is the most important girl there!

(And of course, a trip to Disneyland would not be complete without dinner at MexiCasa).

I should also explain the outfit..She wanted to wear her Aurora dress and I said no because it was cold, so we finally agreed that she could wear her Tinkerbell outfit with clothes underneath. Rather than match...she insisted on pink clothes and her Princess crocs.
