WINDSTORM!

We were fortunate to be far enough away from the fires, however the windstorms still affected our poor little yard. The pool has never been more disgusting. It was filled with leaves, trash from all over and ash from the fires. Vanz was in Mexico on a surf trip during the storms so Holly was out side holding up the tall Limelight Cyprus trees while trying to tie them back with twine. Our horsetail reeds did not fare so well and will need some serious repair. We also lost our Chinese birdcage we brought back from Hong Kong. It flew away and broke. Our Japanese trellis fell over, but thankfully didn't break or damage the rose garden it was next to. There were quite a few trees uprooted in our neighborhood, but gratefully we were not one of them. Here are a few pictures of the aftermath.
