BUTTERFLY COSTUMES AND RACOONS

Sailor & I were in the yard checking on our garden when I noticed that one of our dill plants had been devoured. Upon closer inspection I noticed a few green caterpillars seemed to be the culprits. I showed them to Sailor and told her what they had done and she took the "responsiblility" (that is a much used word around our house with her) to find them a new home. The new home seemed to be the palm of her hand. She took quite a liking to the caterpillars. She told me that she learned that they are going to build "raccoons" and then put on their butterfly costumes. We found a jar and placed our caterpillars (there were four of them) into it with some dill (from another plant because they destroyed the one we found them on)! We poked holes in the lid and Sailor carried them around for the rest of the night and even invited them to join us for dinner (we ate outside). Maybe we will take some pictures of them after they put their costumes on.
